Healthy dogs
Dogs should be adequately vaccinated and wormed to use a public place. If your dog is showing any signs of illness do not use the field and be respectful of other pets and their owners.
Puppies are welcome to use the field from 2 weeks after their second vaccination (minimum 14 weeks). Should your dog be a rescue from abroad, please do not visit until 14 days has elapsed after entering the UK.
Use the field at your own risk – uneven ground, long grass
You agree that your use of the field is at your own risk, and agree not to hold ‘Happy Fields – Caeau Hapus’, its owners, staff or the land owners responsible for any injury to you, your family/friends, your vehicles or your dogs arising from your use of the field. The field is a large outdoor space, and contains areas of uneven/ stony/ muddy/ wet ground which could be concealed under long grass or other vegetation, has overhanging branches from trees or hedges around the edges which may fall or have fallen and could contain other hazards consistent with the countryside. We check and maintain the field regularly to ensure it is fit for use. Due to its nature as an open field we cannot be held responsible for the activity or any noise from neighbouring fields and areas as these are out of our control.
We will not accept responsibility for injury, illness or death of your dog from using our facilities. You are advised to insure your pet for all eventualities.
You agree not to let anyone else onto the field other than any friends or family members you have brought with you to enjoy walking your dogs. Your dog remains your responsibility during your visit and should not be left unattended.
By bringing friends or family, or sending somebody in place of you, you agree that you take full responsibility for their safety and for ensuring that they abide by these terms and conditions at all times whilst using the field.
Covid-19
Dog walking fields by their nature are social distancing-friendly and we are cleaning the locks, gates and bins regularly. Please use the field responsibly and according to current Government guidelines and do not use the field if you feel unwell or have symptoms. Use hand sanitiser, gloves etc. and keep your distance from any other walkers.
Children and Guests
You are welcome to bring your children, but they must be supervised at all times, and you are responsible for making sure that they do not injure themselves or break any of these terms and conditions. Please be aware that the field has not been made child safe, and that certain elements may pose an additional hazard to children (non-child proof wormeries for example).
Smoking, BBQ’s & Fires ARE NOT permitted on site under any circumstance.
More Informations
Although we will be inspecting and maintaining the fences regularly, holes or other damage to the fence may occur from time to time due to a number of reasons including digging by dogs or other animals, falling trees or branches, and general wear and tear. If you become aware of any issue with the state of the fencing, please let us know immediately so that we can make other users aware and so that we can fix it as soon as possible. We cannot however, take any responsibility for any dog escaping whether or not this is through a defect in the fence, and regardless of whether we have notified you in advance or not.
It is your responsibility to pick up all of your dog’s waste and dispose of it in the wormeries provided or take it home with you. Please take any waste with you when you leave, including dog toys and litter. Do not let your dogs dig holes in the field and please discourage them from making excessive noise that may disturb residents and livestock nearby. Anyone found to be misusing the field will be blocked from future bookings. You may not exercise your dog outside of the designated secure dog walking field.
You must keep your dog on a lead whilst you enter the field and close the gate before letting your dog(s) off lead.
Please ensure that you do not arrive early for your booking and vacate the field leaving it secure at the end of your booking. Padlock the gate and leave the digits returned to 0. Bookings are back-to-back so please be respectful of others arriving/ leaving for their slot and keep an eye on the time.
Please only park on the hardstanding (i.e. the gravelled area) within the field gate and not on the grass. If you have multiple cars for one booking you can park on the hardstanding outside the field.
There is no litter bin or toilet on site.
Any logs, tyres, jumps, tunnels or other activities in the field are to be used at your own risk, we accept no responsibility to users or dogs for any accidents while using these items. Equipment is checked regularly to ensure its safety. Please ensure you and your dogs are using the field and its contents in a way that is consistent with fitness, age (young or old dogs) and physical capability to prevent any harm. If necessary please seek advice from professionals before using the activities to ensure it is suitable for your dog – the intention is for them to be enriching and to improve fitness and flexibility, spatial awareness and provide your dogs with an additional fun sensory experience. Please use any equipment you find respectfully and leave it as you found it. The equipment is for dogs, not humans!
Bookings can be rescheduled but are non-refundable.
All bookings must be paid for in advance – by card at the time of booking.
We may need to vary these terms and conditions from time to time.
By making a booking, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions on the website at the time of making your booking.
By booking the field you are agreeing to us contacting you in relation to your booking.
